Three Stonechats with two Whinchats on the back road from the village, very rare to see a Stonechat in this location as it is mainly just grass and arable, to see two Whinchats as well was a real surprise, especially as there was another a couple of days back on sutton Mt, prior to that I had only ever seen a single bird in over 40 years here. In company with the chats were two Meadow pipits and two Linnets. A nice bit of variety for a change.
