20th October 2022 fieldfare flocks- a coastal journey back home from Nolton to Dale encountered flocks of fieldfare of between 30 and 200 heading inland, and then at Mullock 450 passed over in one big wave, followed by another of 150-200, some sat on the larch trees basking in the evening light before leaving in the direction of monkhaven. Well impressive, just like everyone else not seen these numbers before.
A note I regularly hear golden plover overhead at Nolton Cross heading inland on an evening plus 2 ringed plovers as it gets dark.
