I saw what was probably Derek's Swift zig-zagging down the valley against the wind behind our house (Orlandon Kilns) yesterday at about 6pm. I had been watching the almost continuous stream of Jackdaws and Rooks flying from the fields somewhere to the NE down towards Dale and suddenly there was a Swift!
