Waders in the wet (but no longer flooded) meadows below Castlemartin Church: curlew 35, black-tailed godwit 16, golden plover 130, lapwing 250, plus black-headed gull 45, herring gull 3 and a buzzard.
The Gupton Farm linnets seemed unbothered by the kestrel who came to perch on the wires next to them. Very strange - 5 peregrine kills, all lapwing, in an area no more than 6 metres by 3 metres, in the camping field just east of the farm buildings ("Fox Field"). This is a regular spot for lapwing. 4 were minus head, all had had breast meat and internal organs eaten but appeared to lie where they had been eaten. All fairly fresh, probably very recent as otherwise the fox would have removed them. The campsite manager was in the office and hadn't noticed them, nobody else about so I don't think they'd been rearranged.
Down on the Corse, enough water in front of the hide for 3 mute swans to glide about in but no other wildfowl. 2 marsh harriers flew briefly, the usual two as far as I could see.
