Marloes Mere: c500 Lapwing, sat out on the mere was quite a spectacle, they'd flush from time to time and looked to be taking evasive measures but I couldn't see from what. 20 Teal, 10 Wigeon 7 Shoveler, 2 Gadwall. 6 snipe. 2 Little grebe, Coot and a moorhen. Deer Park first thing: lots of Song thrushes in the bracken including an interesting bird with white outer tail feathers which gave me hopes of something exotic. A Merlin was in full blooded pursuit of a pipit, the merlin would swing up over it and drop down beneath trying to make a grab but they disappeared out of sight so didn't see the outcome. A few waves of Starling heading towards Skomer.
