"Road testing " a new scope at the Gann, picking out two unusual ducks on the sea - a Shoveller & female Common Scoter - which got me thinking about St Brides bay Wintering Scoter flocks, so some time later I.found myself at Goultrop roads. I`d just got set up & found about twenty distant ducks when Sash`s LEO popped up on my phone. At Martins haven I managed to pinpoint the exact location from Sash`s photo but was unable to locate the bird, it has to be there somewhere but doesn`t have to move far to become invisible. As I left I met Andy B & his wife searching for it.
