Llys-y-fran

Called in for another look this evening. The only white-wingers were a noticeable increase in Mediterranean gulls (14) 7 adults, 5 2nd winters and 2 first winter. 4 adult Yellow-legged gull. One of the adult Caspian gulls and the Ring-billed x LBB also present. Little egret came in to roost. Single GC grebe and Little grebe which was catching small silver fish (probably rudd). 33 Mallard the only duck. Most unusual gull was a Black-headed gull, with dark grey neck and underside (ie everything that is typically white), with bright white mantle and wings and a black hood barely visible against the grey, really odd.
