Waking up from a Sunday afternoon snooze to a 30 minute old picture of a Hoopoe on my phone from a friend who saw it at Philbeach had me out looking for it. All I want is a gripping look at one of these birds but as I stared at empty acres of grassland & gardens it wasn`t to be. Surely it`s the same one that`s been at Marloes since early February?
Anyway there was some small consolation in the form of a 1st of the year Swallow around Crabhall.
