I enjoyed a walk through Minwear yesterday, from Canaston Bridge. On route through Toch Wood there was a singing Redstart. Warblers in song included Garden warber (2), Blackcap (2-4), Chiffchaff (?4), Willow Warber (1). Several Goldcrests and Siskins. One of the Garden Warblers was audible from across the A40 and was hunkered down in the thick hedge adjacent to the road, just past the subway on the Toch side. Wood Warblers (2) were in song at Minwear .
At Bedd Morris on Sunday a Meadow Pipit was chasing a female Cuckoo.
