A decent selection of waders this evening, including 3 juvenile Knot, 2 juvenile Black-tailed Godwits, an impressive 48 Redshank, plus 8 Greenshank, 3 Ringed Plover over, 4 Dunlin and Whimbrel heard calling. A male Kingfisher whizzed by and a Water Rail was calling (they presumably bred here as they have been calling all summer). At least 10 Little Egrets, and what may have been 2 Cattle Egrets flying south - picked them up on call from the garden but failed to get the bins on them!
