Castlemartin Corse

To the National Trust (west) end of the Corse with George Mee and Bob Haycock. Another good day for raptors, with the two marsh harriers, one (possibly two) ringtail hen harriers, buzzard, merlin, sparrowhawk and kestrel. The standing water near the hide held a small number of mallard with three gadwall and two wigeon, with a brief view of a coot, water rail calling. About 100 lapwing were flying about with about 12 golden plover, plus snipe and a curlew. A flock of about 20 stock doves, small birds included parties of skylark, linnets, a few reed bunting, a stonechat, pied wagtails.
