Llys-y-fran

Just an hour between 3:30 and 4:40pm. A modest sized roost in the flat calm conditions. BH gulls almost totally absent. I wonder if they stay on the coast or are just very late arriving in these mild windless conditions. Highlight was the returning Ring-billed gull x LBB, I had what looked like the gull a couple of weeks back but like its Ring-billed parent was always roosting so its most prominent feature was tucked out of sight, better views tonight though. Flat grey light was perfect for shades of grey. At least 6 adult Yellow-legged gulls. 2 adult Argentatus Herring gulls. Single adult Mediterranean gull. The adult GBB. 6 Goldeneye (3m, 3 f), 3 GC grebe, single Little grebe.
