The BTO Cymru want to enable more people in Wales to learn about birds, to gain confidence with ID, and to participate in BTO-led surveys this upcoming breeding season. If you would like to get involved with any of these, please see BTO Cymru's spring training events, which includes both online and face-to-face bird ID training, and outdoor training in Breeding Bird Survey techniques. We have half a dozen squares in Pembrokeshire needing a surveyor, so please do consider doing one, especially if it is on your doorstep.
If you just want to do a square, and don't feel you need the training, just register at https://www.bto.org/our-science/projects/breeding-bird-survey and choose the appropriate 10km square from the page of available squares. I'll get a notification, and we can take it from there.
