Hi there. A few birds which may be of interest this afternoon:
Cuckoo 1 singing in Marloes village briefly.
Short-eared Owl: 1 east over Marloes Mere
Greater Scaup. Drake feeding in Mill Haven (which is 3km west of Little Haven) at lunchtime. It was feeding on weed and sea lettuce at the stream outflow but kept on swimming out into the bay when disturbed by hikers on the coastal path. An interesting time of year for this species on the coast.
No sign of the Garganey at Marloes Mere, but there were 5 Gadwall, 3 Wigeon.
Lesser Whitethroat. 1 singing at Little Haven and another at Chester Point (south east of St Ishmaels)
