Great find by Caroline of the Spotted Sandpiper at Marloes Mere. It was still there on Wednesday, and also reported Thursday morning but was not seen that afternoon or evening. 3rd record for Pembrokeshire!
I paid a visit to Strumble Head for some seawatching yesterday with Pembs and visiting birders present. We had some nice birds, including a juvenile Sabine's Gull, a Balearic Shearwater (which I failed to get on), 10+ Arctic Skuas, 2 Great Skuas and a handful (I saw 3) European Storm Petrels.

A decent selection of waders at the Gann over the last 2 days, although not many small passage waders. A smart juvenile Black-tailed Godwit yesterday, a juvenile Sanderling on Thursday, and up to 2 Whimbrel the highlights. 140 Oystercatchers yesterday was a good count, I managed to read 14 colour rings (all from Pembrokeshire) and at least 4 more were unreadable due ring fade. Also managed to read 3 Curlew colour rings, all local, and partially read another which I think is from Shropshire (but need better views to confirm).
