Mostly St Brides

3 visits to St Brides over the past few days culminated in a bit of a drenching this afternoon. Between the downpours it was pleasant enough, briefly anyway. 3 Firecrest making light of the rain, chiffchaff, blackcaps and first 3 Redwing today. Jays have been noticeable with a flock of 7 today and flock of 22 passing over Porthclais yesterday, a firecrest and a chiffchaff there. 2 more chiffchaffs in a brief look at Nine Wells and a squealing water rail plus 2 more Jays. Finch numbers increasing, with a large mixed flock of chaffinch, siskin, goldfinch and bullfinch at St Brides, some venturing into the maize fields. There's road closures approaching St Brides this week and next (closed between Mullock and St Brides today for rest of the week, and then closed from Talbenny/Tavernput crossroads to St Brides next week).
