Castlemartin Corse

Unbeknown to Richard, I also went to the Corse today, though I had headed to the hide.

The strong westerly breeze and the early downpours meant the birds were mostly trying to shelter and hide from the worst of the weather which made it quite a quiet visit. Mallard, Teal, Shoveller and Wigeon were observed along with a lone moorhen. A Kingfisher did a fly past at one point. Nice to see the flock of Stock Doves pass over the hide. A little egret was hanging out towards Starmans.

The highlight of the morning was a juvenile Whooper Swan who was hanging out with two Mute Swans.
