Corse flagged curlew

Rapid responses from Gerrit Gerritsen for the scheme and ringer Henk Jan Ottens re Steve Watt's ringed and flagged curlew (many thanks to Brian for sending me the link to the project).

The curlew was ringed as a chick this year, in the Netherlands. On the 12th of June (age 23 days old) they flagged three chicks P21-P23, see pictures. Annemarie Loof flagged the chicks and Marlies Eising took the pictures. This is a distance of approx 800 km, and the scheme's first recovery from Wales. Just received - email from Marlies who adds: Last year his or her sister of 2023 X24 has been seen in Bretagne (France) a lot, so these curlew parents are very successful!

Thanks to all, and well done Steve! Steve, I can't find your email address but drop me an email and in any case I'll run into you at the Corse soon enough!
