A friend showed me a video of a Barn Owl along the Slade Lane bridlepath several months ago, and I've tried a couple of times to no avail, but Sunday evening I did flush two
Snipe from the path.
At Old Mill Grounds on Monday I was surprised to hear a Blackcap singing in a regular (breeding season) spot. I haven't seen any wintering here, so where has it come from? It was singing again on Tuesday.
This evening at dush three
Woodcock flew out of the rough scrub/woodland behind Bethany Church in Clarbeston Road.
