From Samuel Levy: My final day in Pembrokeshire for a while was great. The Gann held
quite a number of waders with Ringed Plover, Dunlin, Curlew, Whimbrel,
Oystercatchers and of course the Summer Plumage Curlew Sandpiper. An Adult Med
Gull here was also good. The Scandinavian type Rock Pipit was also
still around after first seeing it on Monday, but I suspect this is the
bird I had poor views of on most of my visits since the Purple Heron.
Then onto Marloes Mere where the only thing of note was finally
stumbling upon the female Garganey which flew in from out of sight and
landed right next to the hide.
Finally I visited the Angle area. There were plenty of Oystercatcher
and a few Curlew but the best of the rest were 2 Sandwich Tern which
came into the bay briefly before following the Irish Ferry out.
