A nice start to the day with a very tame Little Stint at Gann car park, with some 20 Dunlin, I was standing on the sea wall with it feeding 5 meters below me. Later, I went to the Bicton irrigation pool to see if yesterday`s reported Wood Sandpiper was still preesnt - it was! along with another Little Stint, 2 Green Sandpipers, 4 Bartail Godwits, 2 Snipe, 2 Lapwing, 2 Herons, Little Egret & 15+ Little Grebes - a mix of adults & juveniles. Not surprisingly the water`s been pumped out for crops, leaving a lot of mud!
