Marloes Mere

Another look late afternoon/evening. A juvenile Cuckoo spooking the jackdaws as it flew around the western edge and up into the stubble fields. More to be concerned about certainly for the duck was a juvenile Marsh harrier, that flushed 60 mallard, dozen teal and a few waders including a ruff, a green sandpiper and a solitary snipe. The harrier kept to the farside never venturing Britton hide side. Quite a few Clouded Yellows on the fleabane and ragwort, and a couple of southern hawkers and migrant hawkers.
