50 curlew flying upstream, 2 whimbrel flying downstream, 3 more taking an overland short cut to the Cresswell River over Williamston Park. More heard in the salt marsh upstream, also 1 greenshank heard. 10 oystercatchers flying downstream. A couple of brown hairstreak hunters, one of whom had photographed a clouded yellow in the lower meadow - there are one or two about, apparently, on the warm continental airstream.
