An Osprey was a welcome addition to this morning's WeBS count at Hook as it flew down the Western Cleddau. More bittersweet, the sight of two Manx Shearwaters sitting in the main Cleddau Channel off Sprinkle Pill, the first time I've seen them here and so clearly out of place. Hopefully they will find their way back out to sea again. The WeBS count itself was dominated by Black-headed Gulls (385), Canada Geese (104) and Curlews (84) plus a couple of Great Crested Grebes.
