Nothing unexpected on the avian front in the Celtic Deep today on board Dale Sailing's Helen Clare, skippered by Will. Plenty of Guillemots, Razorbills, Kittiwakes and Gannets, with a couple of Fulmars and a handful of Manx Shearwaters. Several sightings of Common Dolphin, more so out in the deep than on the way there and back. Best of all was a brief sighting of a Fin Whale: 3 blows and a view of the back and dorsal fin and it was gone, never to be seen again. Jaw dropping animal!
