I saw 2 Firecrests at Manorbier yesterday morning, and in the same area of bushes just up from the beach a subtly marked first winter Ring Ouzel (assumed to be the same as seen recently by Toby Phelps) was defending a berry-laden hawthorn from a pesky song thrush!
The lone plover is a juv/first winter Grey Plover.
