Skrinkle Haven vismig - Woodlark

Another watch from the top of Skrinkle this morning produced a steady movement of Chaffinches but the biggest surprise was a Woodlark which appeared overhead just before 7:45am this morning. It stayed mostly silent as it flew over but uttered a few soft calls as it headed away to the east allowing me to confirm the identification.
The rain came in just before 8am which unfortunately stopped any further movement.

Over the last week or so there's been small numbers of Brambling moving with Chaffinch flocks most mornings. Also a Merlin over Old Castle Head and 2 Great Northern Divers off Lydstep Point on Monday.
