Went for a couple of short potters today.
Generally quiet where I went but some absolutely amazing moments of wildlife behaviour also seen.
Started at Corse. A Kestrel was hovering trying to hunt over one of the fields but was getting hounded by little birds so ended up abandoning its attempts and ended up sitting on a distant hedge boundary. A distant what looked to be 1CY Marsh Harrier also seen.

The highlight was two sparrowhawk flying up along the edge of the reed beds at the same time, it was the alarm calls of all the small birds that gave their low flight path away. I only grabbed an image of one of them as they bombed past.

Later in the day went to West Williamston. The highlight there was a young Peregrine taking on a Red Kite. It dived at the kite a number of times constantly calling. Was special to have seen.

I also saw the Black Swan that others have commented is in the area.
