This evening, 1yr Iceland & Glaucous Gulls flew in, also 1 Yellow-legged Gull. The Black-necked Grebe still present with 6 Wigeon.

1 ad. Med. Gull, the only gull of note, v. few large gulls going to roost.

Whilst watching a Barn Owl hunt then then perch by the presumed "sand martin nestsite" a Merlin appeared, mobbed it, driving it off.
Whilst showing a couple the owl, they were delighted to tell me how they were shown a Bittern during the week, at around midday, seen flying in the Kingfisher hide area.
