Bosherston

Garganey still present at Bosherston, and still with the Mallards and Teal between Eight-arch Bridge and Grassy Bridge. Otherwise quiet.

It is interesting to watch the feeding behaviour of the Garganey which rarely, if ever, upends, but typically feeds with its bill partially submerged, and often flicks water into the air as it finishes sifting for food (as seen in the pic above). By contrast, the Teals spend a lot of time upending when feeding, and have not been noted flicking water into the air.
