Cosheston Pill area: There's been numbers of lapwing (60-70) on the bend opposite Kingswood Pill the last couple of days, with 50 dunlin Monday reducing to 20 today, 3 black tailed godwit rising to c20 today. Today a Peregrine drifted over and everything took flight, the godwits flew off southward and lapwings appeared to drop down into fields further up towards Cosheston.
Quick look over at the Pembroke River just as the thick rain/sleet started. The smew was just above the spit with what appeared to be the 20 godwits dropping in.
