Peregrine - the moral (maybe) use a higher resloution screen

Good to have Alastair's (and also Rob Davies's sent to us by email) expert wildlife artist opinions on the peregrine foot. We merely asked a question, based on what we could see on a computer screen.

When viewing the image on a higher/better resolution screen we can see at least one of the claws thought to be missing quite well. Let's put it down to ageing eyesight (in one of us at least) and a realisation now that one of our computer screens has a poorer resolution. Great to have these helpful comments on the BLOG about David's non-the-less excellent digi-scope (we assume) image of such an enigmatic bird and in prime health!

This year will be the thirtieth year that one of us (Bob) has been coordinating Pembs breeding peregrine records for the Bird Group (or what ever). A big thanks to everyone who has supplied records or snippets of information over the last 29 years (including occasional BLOG observations). It will be great to have more records this year and maybe a brief anniversary summary report will be possible for the BLOG later in the year, with additional information hopefully following for the Pembs Avifauna.
