Smew on Pembroke River

A redhead Smew was on the Pembroke River at c.14:00 today.  The bird was viewed from Bentlass but spent all of its time in mid channel between Bentlass and Pennar before being disturbed by shooters and flying off down-channel.  A Great Northern Diver was also present along with four Great Crested Grebes, a small number of Little Grebes, 100+ Knot and c.25 Grey Plover.
