A pair of Goosanders had also been there on Sat.,when a fellow bridge watcher told me they had earlier been displaying.Given the much increased number of non Winter sightings last year I have wondered whether they had bred upstream.
A Little Egret was my first (here) of the year.A couple of years ago you could guarantee up to 4 on any visit at this time of year.
