A nice couple of hours photography this afternoon in the sunshine at Radford Pill, Carew River. There were c.200 Lapwing and 150 Golden Plover though none came close enough for a photo. More obliging was a Greenshank (one of three) and a couple of Redshanks (c.30 altogether). A lone Curlew spent some time close by and a real bonus was a Spotted Redshank though it stayed a little out of range and I got a record shot only. A few Snipe were in the channel as the tide dropped and a Little Egret flew past. A Kingfisher was seen briefly. Click on the Snipe above for more photos.
