At Kilpaison this morning pretty quiet on the wader front with c.60 Dunlin and 25 Ringed Plover plus a couple of Redshank. 37 Brent Geese was a good count.
I spent some time this afternoon hoping for some pics of the Black-tailed Godwits but only 2 showed up and landed way off. Pretty quiet here too with 9 Redshank and 1 Greenshank. A Little Egret with muddy feet flew over carrying something also covered in mud - couldn't tell if it was prey or vegetation.
