Down South

In St Florence this morning at least 6 Willow Warblers along a sheltered 20 metre stretch of the Ritec. A few snatches of song but mainly busy feeding. Chiffchaffs also singing but as yet no Blackcaps. Yesterday mid afternoon there was an arrival of Swallows and House Martins with the latter flying up to last years nests on the house next door. A few Swallows and Martins still around today.

At Blackpool Mill early afternoon a Common Sandpiper, a couple of Dippers and a Grey Wagtail. Sand Martins were hawking over fields by the river.
