Dale-Marloes
Blustery day out and about. Started at the Gann: 18 plovers sp. (from size they looked like Goldies(?) but high and distant) circling in a tight flock high over the Gann with a Peregrine out beyond them, they circled over and seemed to drop down in the vicinity of the airfield. Pair shelduck, 2 whimbrel and the Great Northern diver. Circuit of Kete/St Anns Head, 2 wheatear, pair chough, male kestrel getting a buffeting and single whimbrel in 'bull' field. Dale airfield: 2 wheatear, 2 Pied wagtails, whimbrel calling but couldn't see it. Blackcap on track up. Marloes Mere: 3 Swifts, 2 wheatear, a few white wags and Pieds on the grassy slope by barbed wire gate and the Glossy ibis in its favourite spot-of-the moment.
