A pair of Yellowhammers have returned after an absence of two or three years to a site on Tretio Moor, first noted by John and Marion a good few years back. There is a strong possibility they might now be the only Yellowhammers on the whole of the St. Davids peninsular. Hopefully they will have a successful breeding season, the habitat hereabouts is certainly ideal for them.
There were plenty of Whitethroats and Sedge Warblers on the moor this morning, but even with hearing-aids turned up to maximum no Groppers were picked up.
