Down South

At Kilpaison this morning just a lone Mute Swan close in on the sea of note. No waders - perhaps not surprising with the wind howling into the bay.

Round at Angle Harbour there were 71 Black-headed Gulls on the shingle spit and amongst them 15 adult Med Gulls all pretty much in winter plumage. Also in the harbour  3 Whimbrel. 23 Oystercatchers and 1 Little Egret.

Freshwater West also drew a nil wader count.

At St. Govans the small valley contained c.40 Linnets 12 Goldfinches and at least 6 juvenile Stonechats together with 3 adults seen. On the cliff top a pair of Chough but no young seen.
