We visited Grassholm on 6th and 7th August for our final gannet tracking trip of the season with University of Exeter. Bird records of note (mainly courtesy of Steve Votier) were - 6th August: single sooty shearwater and bonxie at sea plus 2 common terns. 3 wheatears, 10 willow warblers, 1 sedge warbler, 1 whimbrel, 1 house martin and 3 turnstone. On 7th August: 1 Black headed gull, 2 willow warblers, 1 peregrine, 2 ravens, 1 juv black tailed godwit, 1 grey heron, 1 whimbrel, 10 turnstone and 2 carrion crow.
A marsh harrier was over Ramsey on the evening of 7/8
