As it always seems to be - absolutely alive with birds. Chiffchaff and willow warblers everywhere, even the pond had 15 mallards and a snipe. As Paddy has mentioned on the ringing blog loads of bullfinches this year. A 'small' group of redpoll was flushed by something and suddenly became at a conservative estimate 30+ (though more likely 50). Reed buntings, juv mistle thrush, pair jays. 3 ravens inc a juv seeing off a juv peregrine. Willow tits calling in 4 areas. 2 crossbills.
