Broad Haven, Marloes and Dale
Broad Haven: Great Northern diver just out from beach along with 3 shelduck, 4-5 Red-throated divers and c150 scoter. Peregrine zoomed past.
Marloes Mere: Merlin being harassed by crow, every time it settled on a fence post it would be moved on. 2 Water rail, one paddling across the ditch, the other walking along the track towards YHA. Plenty of duck inc 8 gadwall, same number of shoveler, 4 Tufties in North Reservoir, approx 60 teal, 40 mallard, 30 wigeon. 3 snipe put up by merlin. Lots of lapwing in fields possibly as many as 500 west of mere, they were very flighty. Dale airfield: Lapland buntings more obvious in still conditions (no doubt a lot of duplication but counts were 6,9,10,12,16,19 and singles), first group were bathing in the margins of the pond, biggest single group was 19.
