Gupton Farm, Castlemartin Corse

I walked Gupton this morning with Rebecca Stock of the National Trust to explore access and birding possibilities, very much part of the NT plan. Water levels were low - very little surface water for wildfowl (this being dependent on rainfall) - so teal the only duck present in any numbers. But we'll be counting again this week. Of note were a female merlin which flew east-west along the south side of the Corse, and a Cetti's warbler which sang briefly on Gupton's eastern boundary (at the eastern end of field D7, for the benefit of my fellow counters!).
