Ramsey

A flock of around 400 fieldfares was an impressive sight this morning as it made it's way in off the sea from the NW. They didn't make land fall though, instead remaining at sea and hugging the west coast as they doubled back on themselves and continued north. An equally impressive flock of 700 starlings were busily feeding this morning above Aber Mawr - the single biggest flock of the autumn and for some years.
12 long-tailed tits in off the sea were the first of the year - they appeared to continue NE. Also 1 siskin and 1 redpoll went over in among a small movement of skylarks. 10+ goldcrests were new in
