Belated Christmas Day sightings

Just picking up on a few other sightings - in Jack Sound and Little Sound around 400 Kittiwakes feeding in the north going tidal flow along with a few BHG's, HG's and LBB's and a single adult Med Gull.  Very close to Midland in a tidal eddy at least eight Shag feeding and more around the sound but little else of note.  We are used to not seeing many LBB's around the islands until late February so it was also interesting to see that most of the big gulls were LBB's.
On the Deer Park just a single Stonechat and later between Musselwick and St Brides only one Stonechat was seen - have they recovered from the last two winters or have they suffered in the wet and windy autumn?  I seem to recall lots around in the late autumn but many of these may have been migrants.
