4 Lapland buntings on Dale airfield NW of pond. Pretty wet underfoot with few dry areas, quite a few skylarks (inc flock of 20) but no pipits. 2 Stonechat. 12 snipe. 13 Song thrush inc flock of 7. Earlier at the Gann: A very heavy hailstorm put up 42 wigeon and 120 curlew, and a pair sparrowhawks (one seen in Dale village later). Also 20 teal, 2 or 3 Little egret, 4 Goldeneye, 8 Little grebe, 10 snipe and a Greenshank.
