Glaucous Gull and Glaucous x Herring Gull hybrid at Freshwater West

An adult Glaucous Gull and 1st winter Glaucous x Herring Gull hybrid were on the beach at Freshwater West this morning.  Although the adult looked like a true adult from a distance, the bill pattern (pink at the base and yellow at tip) suggests that it is the bird that has been seen at Newgale recently.  I have added a series of pics of the hybrid for interest.  When disturbed by dog walkers, the gulls flew around the corner onto the rocks at Frainslake.
