Whilst the gull numbers have dropped a bit at Newgale, still lots of action there, particularly at the south end towards Rickett's Head, and quality abounds. I only had 1 1/2 hours late afternoon, but with Paul G and Mike's sightings (from the morning as well), totals were:
Kumlien's Gull 1/2 an adult on the marsh as well as a brief view of what looked like Sunday's pale(r) 2CY bird at the south end late afternoon
Glaucous Gull 3 (all 2CY birds, 2 pale and presumably from the NW, 1 of the classic biscuit variety)
Iceland Gull 1 (3CY, the dark marked bird that Paul & Mike had yesterday, which we're all sure is Iceland rather than Kumlien's)
Yellow-legged Gull adult
Green-winged Teal adult drake on the marsh
Great (?) Skua the dark bird again at the south end of the beach late afternoon - would be nice to get a feather for DNA analysis!
Med Gull at least 5 late afternoon
Hen Harrier a female hunting over the marsh late afternoon, coming quite close to the pub car park at times
Unprecedented times at Newgale....
