A distant small wader out from Oriole Hide around 6.30pm had me scratching my head. It was roosting on the edge of the North Irrigation Pond about 150m out but bright low sunshine and heat haze made it difficult to be positive and it spent much of the time tucked up in a ball. Having looked at my poor quality video from which these grabs have been taken I'm favouring Wood Sandpiper - unless there's any other suggestions of course. Derek and I had another look around 8pm but no further sign.
